The short version: your analysis never touches our servers, your AI prompts go to your own provider, and we keep only the minimum needed to run your account.

What our servers never see

ChatDbg runs its analysis on your machine, and none of your analysis content is sent to or stored on ChatDbg's servers - not the binaries you open, not the disassembly, not memory contents.

When you use the AI assistant, it works like any bring-your-own-key AI tool: to answer your questions, it sends the relevant context - which can include file paths, disassembly, and excerpts of code or memory - directly to the AI provider you configure, using your own key. That goes to your provider under their terms and never passes through us. If you'd rather keep something away from the model, don't include it in your prompts.

What we collect

To run your account and license, we store:

• Your email and a securely hashed password.
• A device identifier and license-key status, so the app knows whether access is active.
• For purchases, the buyer email, product, order status, and license-key delivery status needed to fulfill and support the order.
• Basic security metadata such as your IP address and last-seen time when you sign in or activate a device.

That's it. We don't collect your analysis content, and we don't sell your data to anyone.

Payments

Purchases are handled by Creem as our Merchant of Record. Creem processes payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive verified order and buyer details needed to issue and deliver your license key, but we do not receive or store your full card information.

Anonymous usage stats

Usage telemetry is off by default and opt-in. If you turn it on, it is anonymous - a random install id, your Windows version, and coarse counts of how often tools were used - and never includes your content, file paths, or prompts. You can turn it off at any time in Settings.

Your rights and contact

ChatDbg is operated by Li Jianduo, an independent solo developer trading as Crabware Labs, who is the data controller for the account data described here. You can ask us to access or delete your account data at any time - email [email protected] and we'll take care of it.
